At Knitted Knockers UK we want women to know that there is a lightweight, 100% cotton alternative that takes the form of a real breast and is soft against the skin and is breathable.

Each Knocker is made with love and filled with hope, and we provide them FREE OF CHARGE to those ladies who need it.

We have a team based around the UK who are experienced in knitting and crochet.  They give their time voluntarily to handcraft each knocker to each personalised request.

Our Aqua Knockers are also popular for short term wear and allow ladies to swim in confidence.

The ethos for wearing Madrigal yarns is simple; be bold, be brave and be beautiful.

Mamie and Florrie

My name is Amy Forster and Mamie and Florrie is my brand name for bright, colourful and fun yarns.

I get the influence for my yarns from the places I visit; landscapes, seascapes and townscapes. Not only are they fabulous yarns but they’re also souvenirs, memories, bright and colourful, and definitely not shy!

Each of my colourways are named after the place that inspired them. They have a memorable name, and a what3words reference. Lookup the reference to find the exact location that inspired the unique mix of colours. It may remind you of places you’ve visited or inspire you to visit somewhere new.

I originally trained at the School of Textiles and Design at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, specialising in garment design.  I’ve worked in industry as a garment technologist and more recently as a buyer, but my passion for textiles and colour means it’s time to grow the Mamie and Florrie brand.  I hope to encourage people to enjoy and explore knitting and crochet with a modern, fresh perspective of handmade, slow sustainable fashion. Home is the Peak District, where I love being amid the amazing scenery and of course, dramatic colour!

Max’s hand knitted moths are available in frames or printed onto a range of cards & jewellery.

Mothy and the Squid hand dye ethically sourced premium yarn. As well as popular merino and bluefaced leicester yarn bases, this year we have added a greater variety of wools and other fibres to our range. We also have several recent design collaborations that allow us to offer kits with both yarn and patterns together.

As a dyer, I am drawn to the exquisite brights of nature. We display photographs of each inspiration alongside its interpretation in yarn form. I think it is my ability to distill the key colours accurately and present them using up to date dye techniques that attracts the eye. Our colours are vibrant and often unusual, because nature is full of remarkable beauty.

We use acid dyes to exhaustion for colour fastness and to minimise chemical waste. Wherever possible we re-use water, heat and packaging, and we’re working to improve our environmental impact further. We support two charities, one anti-bullying and one anti-racist. We actively encourage other dyers and crafters and often promote them for free. Additionally, we use giveaways as a tool to reach new customers whilst offering something back to those who participate instead of paying big business for advertising.

Yarn by Boo

Hello I’m Boo & I produce Bright and Beautiful Hand Dyed Yarn.

I am a self confessed yarn addict, lover of bright colours and an indie dyer.  My love of yarn comes from my lovely Grandma who always had a project or two on the go.

I hand dye all my yarn at home in my kitchen and it’s all individually hand dyed so it is unique and mainly one of a kind (OOAK), each item made with the yarn is completely individual.

The dye I use is from a local Sheffield firm and I buy my undyed yarn from a British Company.

The yarn is a beautiful soft superwash merino and nylon blend.  I’m also expanding my range of bases and thicknesses of yarn  and now use merino and bamboo and of course sparkly yarn.

The yarn is perfect for making socks, hats, mittens, shawls, scarves, baby items etc.

I have sock sets, large and small, 100g and then 20g or 50g and then 20g Mini-skeins, ideal for contrasts on socks, or making scrappy blankets, all in an array of bright and beautiful colours.
